Job Description

Salary: $159,200 - 215,300 per year Requirements:

• We require experience developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.
• We require 7+ years in consumer electronics, including several recent years as an architect or technical lead for IP66 outdoor-rated electronics or telecommunications products.
• We require 5+ years of experience with 3D CAD modeling, tooling reviews, and releasing drawings for production tooling.
• We require 5+ years of experience designing for high-volume manufacturing and assembly, including multiple tools across areas such as plastic injection, thermoforming, casting, sheet metal, machining, and finishing processes.
• We require 5+ years of experience designing printed circuit boards (PCBs), flex circuits, and electrical interconnects.
• We prefer a masters degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or an equivalent field.
• We prefer experience working with cross-functional teams to take a product from concept through production.
• We prefer experience managing technical projects.
• We prefer 15+ years of experience in consumer electronics, including the last 5 years as an architect or technical lead for IP66 outdoor-rated electronics or telecommunications products.
• We prefer deep expertise in several mechanical engineering disciplines.
• We prefer 5+ years of experience with phased array antennas, including fielded products.
• We prefer excellent written and verbal communication skills at both engineering and executive levels.
• We require candidates to be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or otherwise lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or asylee, due to export control requirements.

• We lead as the product design architect or technical lead for an outdoor consumer electronics product.
• We partner with cross-functional teams to assess readiness and risk for product design deliverables.
• We communicate clearly and accurately with product design members, cross-functional partners, and executives.
• We adjust priorities independently based on sound business and technical judgment.
• We stay customer-focused when solving ambiguous challenges.
• We negotiate and collaborate with external teams to manage priorities and allocate product design resources effectively.
• We develop scalable solutions while also resolving tactical issues.
• We may travel internationally and domestically up to 25% of the time.
