Title : Custodian

Location : Jenkins Independent Schools/Jenkins, KY/Letcher County

Credentials : High School or GED, experience may replace diploma/certification.

Employment type : Morning and Evening shifts available

Pay rate : Base pay $11.61/Hourly.  Increases per year of relevant experience.

Special Skills/Knowledge Required : Custodial experience preferred; clean drug screen and TB skin test required; valid driver's license.

Primary functions :

• Clean, sanitize, sterilize surfaces per health and safety regulations.
• Sweeping, mopping, disinfecting, dusting, emptying trash, and maintaining inventory on a regular basis.
• Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
• Clean school grounds as necessary; removing debris and safety hazards and ensuring cleanliness.
• Notify manager of any noted repairs that need to be completed.
