We are currently looking for an HR Intern to join our team! In this role you will work directly for the HR Director to gain a unique and invaluable perspective across all HR functions. This position is in office at our St. Charles location and the hours are typically 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Part-time or full-time is available. The start date for this is August 13th with the opportunity to continue the internship past the Fall semester.

Requirements:

  • Currently attending college/university to obtain human resources degree or related field.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel in Microsoft Office.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • General knowledge of various employment laws.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to gather and analyze information with high attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with Associate orientation, development, training logistics, and recordkeeping.
  • Assists with the paperwork involved in new hire orientation and termination.
  • Helps maintain associate files in the Human Resources Department.
  • Assists with the implementing and tracking company health and safety programs.
  • Assists with benefit orientation.
  • Helps with recruiting efforts.
  • Assist with employee engagement activities such as touch base program and employee recognition.
