Job Summary (List Format):
- Experience: Minimum 2 years required; no first-time travelers accepted.
- Epic EMR: Experience required.
- Certifications Required:
- BLS
- FHM
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate
- ACLS (preferred)
- Patient Diagnoses:
- Labor/Preterm labor
- Low risk antepartum
- Low risk labor and delivery
- Unit Details:
- 8 labor rooms
- 4 triage rooms
- Roles/Responsibilities:
- Circulate
- OB-GYN
- Post-op and pre-op care
- Scrub nurse duties
- Care for low risk antepartum and labor/delivery patients
- Special Procedures:
- Administer blood/blood products
- Cardioversion/defibrillation
- Use of cooling/warming blankets
- Manage drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps
- Wound vac usage
- Administration of heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
- Special Equipment/Assignments:
- Attend all deliveries, including high-risk
- Assist in GYN surgeries
- Couplet care
- Low risk antepartum care
- Transition nursery
- Staffing Ratio: 1:1 3
- Floating: May float to postpartum and NICU depending on skill set
- Eligibility:
- Perm candidates from non-Swedish Providence facilities eligible for travel contracts if separated for at least 3 months
- All Swedish facilities accept active compact licenses
