The role
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join our Site Services team within the Campus Division as a Senior Estates Assistant.
This is a key supervisory role responsible for leading a team that delivers a professional front-of-house service across multiple campus buildings. A primary focus of the role is to ensure that statutory compliance checks, routine inspections, and health and safety requirements are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with University policies and procedures. You will play a vital role in promoting a strong culture of health and safety, ensuring compliance is prioritised within your area of responsibility and that any issues are identified, reported, and addressed promptly.
Alongside these responsibilities, you will ensure all visitors receive a warm and professional welcome while working collaboratively with colleagues across the University to maintain facilities that are safe, accessible, well-maintained, and fit for purpose. As the team is based across a number of buildings, this is a role that combines supervisory responsibilities with hands-on Estates Assistant duties, supporting the effective day-to-day operation of the campus.
What will you be doing?
Organising and overseeing essential safety and fire compliance testing, health and safety checks, reception duties, opening & closing / securing buildings and rooms, validating and assisting visitors, post receipt and distribution, room set-ups, manual handling.
