Duties

• Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity across the premises and identify potential security concerns
• Control access to the facility by verifying identities of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors, ensuring authorized entry only
• Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access while maintaining a visible security presence
• Respond swiftly and appropriately to incidents or emergencies, including conflicts or disturbances, following established protocols
• Assist with loss prevention efforts by observing suspicious behavior and reporting findings to management
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks for record-keeping and reporting purposes
• Support emergency response procedures by providing first aid or CPR when necessary and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services

Skills

• Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques, CCTV operation, and security systems management
• Ability to handle conflict management situations calmly and effectively while maintaining professionalism
• Basic first aid and CPR certification to respond confidently during medical emergencies
• Experience or background in law enforcement, military service, or security roles that enhance situational awareness
• Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and interaction with team members and the public
• Familiarity with loss prevention strategies to identify theft or vandalism risks proactively
• Ability to remain alert during long shifts by staying focused on surveillance screens and patrols
