This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.

This Limited Term position may be extended to 24 months and may become Permanent.

The Collections Unit seeks an individual who can function independently to provide exceptional customer service via telephone. As a Senior Motor Vehicle Technician, you will handle complex telephone calls from the public, field office, and Franchise Tax Board (FTB) regarding Dishonored Check (DC), and FTB collections regarding delinquent registration fees. Responsibilities include collections and performing technical work of extraordinary difficulty associated with the FTB collection and DC process. Required skills include effective analytical, verbal, and written communication, and interpersonal skills.

The position(s) being advertised may be subject to allocation approval by the Human Resources Branch. Fingerprint/Criminal Record Clearance is required before hire. The Salary Range shown is the minimum and maximum for a full-time appointment. Moving and relocation expenses will not be reimbursed for this position.
